AREA DESCRIPTION: Cambrian neighborhood is known for its suburban feel created by beautiful tree-lined streets and central Cambrian Park Plaza which hosts a summer farmers market. We and Our Neighbors women’s club was established in 1892 near Union Ave and Los Gatos Almaden Rd, “…to promote social ties, intellectual and cultural pursuits, charitable deeds, and recreation for the farm families of the neighborhood.” Their clubhouse is a San Jose Historic landmark. The philosophy of this club continues in the atmosphere of the community. There is a section of county land in Cambrian area that is not incorporated as part of the city of San Jose (near Union Ave and Camden Ave). This unincorporated area has larger parcels close to 10,000 sqft and plenty of rebuilding projects recently completed or in progress.
